Gulf Air to purchase up to 18 new Boeing 787 Dreamliners

Boeing and Gulf Air have entered into a notable agreement for the purchase of 12 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, with the option for six additional aircraft, as Gulf Air aims to modernize its fleet and expand internationally. The announcement was made during a signing ceremony attended by key figures, including Bahrain’s Minister of Finance and U.S. Commerce Secretary. Gulf Air currently operates 10 Dreamliners and plans to use the new jets to enhance services across Asia, Europe, and North America, strengthening its connectivity and resilience in its network. Throughout its history, Gulf Air has acquired a total of 37 Boeing aircraft, with the Dreamliner serving as its premier long-haul option.
