Red Dot Names New VP of Global HR Amid Growth Initiatives

The Red Dot Corporation, a seasoned manufacturer of mobile HVAC systems for heavy-duty vehicles and powersports applications, has made a strategic appointment to bolster its human resources capabilities. Doug Bobay, the newly appointed vice president of global HR, will oversee human resources strategies for the company's workforce of approximately 400 employees worldwide.

Bobay brings an exceptional combination of people leadership, operational insight, and manufacturing expertise to Red Dot, which has been expanding its reach into emerging markets, including climate-control systems for recreational vehicles, fixed infrastructure applications such as data centers, and new technologies supporting electric vehicles and autonomous equipment.

The appointment comes at a time when the employee-owned company is broadening its focus on sustainability and innovation, with Bobay's expertise in modernizing compensation structures and developing programs aimed at improving attendance and employee development since joining Red Dot in February.

As CEO John Beering notes, Bobay's experience and guidance will play a pivotal role in ushering Red Dot into this next chapter, as the company continues to build a culture that empowers its employee-owners and supports expansion and innovation.

With over 20 years of human resources leadership experience across various industries, including automotive aftermarket products, fuel cell power generation, paper and packaging, specialty chemicals, and technology startups, Bobay is well-equipped to drive Red Dot's growth initiatives.

His background also includes leadership roles in safety, quality, production supervision, and industrial engineering, giving him extensive experience in manufacturing operations.

The company has supplied climate-control systems for off-road, agricultural, military, and powersports vehicles for more than 60 years, with Bobay's appointment marking a significant shift towards diversifying beyond its traditional markets.

As Red Dot looks to expand into emerging applications, Bobay's expertise will be instrumental in shaping the company's culture and leadership strategies to support this growth.

The RISE values of respect, integrity, service, and excellence will likely play a key role in guiding Bobay's approach to employee engagement and development at Red Dot.

With Bobay at the helm, Red Dot is poised to build on its strong foundation and drive continued success in an increasingly competitive market.
