KTM Unveils Track-Only 2026 Super Duke RR

The 2026 KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track marks a significant departure from the brand's traditional road-going motorcycles. As a track-only machine, it's designed to meet FIM track regulations and is built without any intention of road use. This limited-run model will appeal to serious track riders who want a ready-made circuit package straight from the factory.

The bike's weight has been significantly reduced, with KTM claiming it comes in nine kilos lighter than the road-going version. This has been achieved by removing unnecessary components and adding lighter, race-focused parts across the bike. The result is a machine that's built purely for track riding, with no concessions made for road use or everyday practicality.

The 1390 Super Duke RR Track is based on the existing platform, but has undergone a strict diet to shed weight. Bodywork is largely carbon fibre, while forged magnesium wheels help trim unsprung mass. A full titanium Akrapovič Evolution Line exhaust system and titanium fasteners also contribute to the bike's reduced weight.

The suspension and braking have been upgraded with track use in mind. WP Pro Components hardware is fitted, drawing on KTM's MotoGP programme, while braking is handled by a Superbike-spec Brembo setup. Michelin Power Performance slicks are standard for the front and rear tyres.

For riders who want a high-performance machine that's specifically designed for track riding, the RR Track is an attractive option. However, it also takes away some of the fun and personalisation that comes with modifying a road bike to suit your needs.

The 2026 KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track will be assembled at KTM's headquarters in Mattighofen, with a level of specification that goes beyond what's typically seen on the brand's production bikes. This attention to detail is a testament to KTM's commitment to delivering high-quality machines.

The bike's price tag is set at £32,999, and orders are open now through authorised KTM dealers. With only 100 units being produced worldwide, this track-only machine is sure to appeal to serious collectors and enthusiasts.

For those who want a taste of the high-speed thrills of circuit racing without the hassle of modifying their own road bike, the RR Track offers an attractive solution. However, it's worth noting that some riders may miss out on the opportunity to personalise their machine to suit their individual needs.

The KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track is a significant addition to the brand's motorsport-focused lineup, and its limited production run only adds to its exclusivity. As the first track-only version of the Super Duke name, it sets a new benchmark for high-performance machines.
