Busch's Texas Motor Speedway hopes dashed by Nemechek's wrecking ball.
The NASCAR Cup Series saw several storylines unfold at Texas Motor Speedway, with Kyle Busch's day ending in disappointment.
Despite running inside the top 10 for much of the race, Busch's chances were ruined on the final lap when he got into a door-banging incident with John Hunter Nemechek.
The two drivers made contact, sending Nemechek spinning and resulting in Busch finishing 20th and Nemechek 21st.
Busch had qualified sixth for the Wurth 400 at Texas Motor Speedway and was on track to have his best run of the season.
However, with just a few laps left, disaster struck as he got into a door-banging incident with Nemechek.
Nemechek took to social media to express his frustration, saying 'not freaking clear. great day going, and just got wrecked. What an ass.'
Busch, on the other hand, blamed Nemechek for the incident, stating that he did not start it.

Despite the disappointing finish, Busch remains optimistic about his team's chances moving forward.
