This week, I'm lucky enough to be driving two new electric sedans back-to-back in Austria and Spain. The Audi RS5 and Polestar 5 are both exciting cars with a lot of horsepower and technology.
The RS5 features a plug-in hybrid powertrain that uses the old RS5's twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6, now with added thrust from an electric motor inside the transmission.
The total output is 630 hp and 608 lb-ft, making it one of the most powerful sedans on the market.

Audi promises that the RS5 is extremely good at drifting, which I'll get to test out today.
The Polestar 5, on the other hand, is a large fully electric fastback with a fabulous design and no rear window.
It's built on a supercar-like bonded aluminum platform and has a range of up to 416 miles on the WLTP cycle in its Dual Motor version.

The Performance model ups output to 884 hp and 749 lb-ft, but brings range down to 351 miles.
I'll be driving both cars on amazing roads around Austria and from Barcelona to Valencia as part of the Polestar's Sweden to Morocco road trip.
Let me know in the comments what you want to know about these two new sedans, and I'll do my best to answer your questions in my upcoming reviews.
The addition of electric powertrains to these sedans will likely change the way people think about performance and efficiency
