Royal Enfield Expands Manufacturing Capacity

Royal Enfield has confirmed plans to open new manufacturing facilities in Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant expansion of the Indian brand's operations. The move is expected to boost the company's annual production capacity by nearly one million motorcycles. This increase will enable Royal Enfield to meet growing demand for its retro and modern classic motorcycles globally.

The new manufacturing plant and vendor park will be Royal Enfield's first facilities outside Tamil Nadu, where the company has been operating since 1955. The expansion project is expected to take Royal Enfield's total manufacturing capacity to around 1.46 million bikes per year, an increase of roughly 900,000 units annually.

Per reports, around 276 acres have been allocated for the expansion across the villages of Vanelluru and Rallakuppam in Satyavedu. The sites sit roughly 50km from the Tamil Nadu-Andhra Pradesh border. Construction is expected to be completed in two phases, with the first phase finishing in 2029 and the second following in 2032.
