Porsche has set another lap record at Road Atlanta, this time with its 911 GT2 RS model.
The new record, a 1:22.649, is just two-tenths of a second faster than the previous production car lap record held by the Corvette ZR1.
This achievement comes as no surprise, given that Porsche has been actively promoting and supporting its high-performance models at various racing events around the world.

The 911 GT2 RS was equipped with the optional Manthey Kit, which is a highly sought-after upgrade for Porsche enthusiasts.
Manthey Kits have been available in the US since last year via certified Porsche dealerships throughout the country.
The MSRP for the 911 GT3 RS Manthey Kit is $116,160, while the 911 GT2 RS Manthey Kit costs $113,140.

This latest achievement showcases Porsche's commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance and innovation in its high-performance models.
It's worth noting that there were multiple Porsches setting records at Road Atlanta, with various models achieving impressive lap times.
The all-out lap record at Road Atlanta is currently held by Le Mans winner Marc Gene, who achieved a time of 1:01.200 in a Ferrari F2003-GA during an exhibition event.
The 911 GT2 RS's impressive performance highlights the capabilities of Porsche's engineering and design expertise.
