Industry Mourns Loss of Beloved Leader Peter Brown

The industry has lost a giant with the passing of Peter Brown, who left an indelible mark on the outdoor hospitality industry. His commitment to kindness, generosity, and service inspired countless people throughout his career. Pete's impact will be deeply felt by the many organizations he contributed to over the years.

Pete's journey in the industry began at a young age when his parents turned their farm into a campground in East Canaan, Connecticut. This marked the beginning of his lifelong passion for growing and contributing to the outdoor hospitality industry. At just 12 years old, Pete was already making a name for himself.

In 1993, Pete and his brother purchased the campground from his father, marking a significant milestone in their journey together. The same year, Pete's son was born, cementing 'Busy' as his middle name. This marked the beginning of a new era for the Brown family, one that would be defined by kindness, generosity, and service.
