Pöttinger Unveils Next Generation Combi-Drill for Enhanced Seed Placement

Pöttinger's new high-output seed drill features a precision metering system that enables exact placement of seeds, resulting in better seed emergence. The machine is designed to deliver cost effectiveness and efficiency in agricultural operations. With its advanced technology, Pöttinger aims to enhance the overall yield and profitability of farmers.

The Aerosem M boasts two hopper systems: a standard hopper with or without PCS (Precision Combi Seeding), and a double hopper with a pressurised hopper system. This allows for greater flexibility in controlling the coulter pipes and tramlines, making it an ideal choice for contract work and machinery rings.

The IDS Intelligent Distribution System is a key feature of the Aerosem M, providing optimal control over each outlet via the bus system. This feature is available as an option and opens up a wide range of possibilities for controlling the coulter pipes and tramlines.

Regardless of which hopper is installed, the machine delivers cost effectiveness and efficiency in agricultural operations. The precision metering system ensures consistent distribution of seeds even in difficult operating conditions.

The standard hopper holds 1,250 litres of seed material and can be expanded by a further 600 litres. The injector metering system ensures consistent distribution of seeds, resulting in accurate seed placement for high yields and successful bottom line results.

The PCS version features precision metering separator elements added to the seed drill hopper, enabling cost-effective precision sowing of maize seed. As standard, the hopper has a capacity of 450 litres for maize (2 x 225 litres) and 800 litres for fertiliser.

For sowing using the single-shoot method, the double hopper is partitioned 60:40 and has a separate metering unit for each hopper. This allows for optimal mixing and placement of different components together in the same seed slot.

The modified dual disc coulters are easy to adjust and achieve a pressure of up to 60 kg. For sowing maize, Pöttinger has modified the dual disc coulters so that each maize seed is optimally embedded in the seed slot.

The optional harrow tines cover the seed with soil immediately afterwards, ensuring efficient seed placement and reduced soil disturbance.

Overall, Pöttinger's next generation combi-drill offers improved seed placement accuracy and efficiency, making it an attractive option for farmers seeking to enhance their yields and profitability.
