Honda Racing UK has unveiled a special Isle of Man TT livery in honour of 23-time TT winner John McGuinness. The new design is being used by McGuinness on his Honda CBR1000RR-R machine, which he will be racing in the Superbike TT race. This year's event was postponed due to low clouds on Saturday, but the racing resumed as planned with the first race of the week being the Superbike TT.
McGuinness made a name for himself at the Isle of Man TT in just his second appearance, securing his first podium in 1997. He has since become one of the most successful riders in TT history, adding another 22 wins to his name and putting him third on the all-time winners list. The road racing legend has been competing at the TT for over three decades, with a career spanning multiple bike models.
The new livery is a nod to McGuinness's long-standing partnership with Honda Racing UK, which he joined in 2013. It also pays tribute to his iconic moments on the track, including breaking the 130mph lap barrier in 2007 and dominating the Senior TT race in 2015. The bike itself has been modified to feature a side fairing with McGuinness's name and number on display.
